How to link within a Youtube video
Posted on | October 27, 2008 |
A standard feature present with Google Videos for a long time is creating links to a timeframe within the video - so when a user clicks on the link, s/he is shown the video from that timeframe onwards. Now its possible to link to a timeframe in Youtube videos too in the same manner.
For example, when pasting a link to a youtube video - adding the #t=XmYs parameter at the end of the URL:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FO_J4E4_-1o#t=1m42s
will position the youtube video marker at 1 minute and 42 seconds. Additionally, when you mention a timeframe in Youtube comments, it creates a link to point of time too.
